Without her consent, Rose Charleston’s life has been planned for her. Marrying a man almost double her age doesn’t sit well with her. Being told two weeks before the event makes things even worse.
Instead of waiting around for the inevitable, she steals out in the middle of the night to answer an advertisement for domestic help in another state. Little did she know what she was letting herself in for.
After his wife’s death, Preacher Matthew Barnabas is left to care for their two small children. When Rose turns up unannounced, after answering an advertisement he knows nothing about, his life is turned upside down.
The preacher will accept Rose into his life because he has no choice, but will he ever let her into his heart?
Author’s Promise: This is a heartwarming historical Christmas novella with a happily ever after ending and no cliffhangers. It is a clean and wholesome story with nothing more than hugs, kisses, and holding hands.
This lovely romance kept my interest. I loved the two main characters and the sweet little girls. Rose learns to run a house and be a Mama while getting to know them all. Finally she is no longer bored and lonely. The book contains some trouble and a whole lot of love. Cheryl Wright has given it all to us in this book. It is wonderful.
The preacher’s daughters stole Rose’s heart at first sight. It didn’t take much longer for Rose to steal the preacher’s heart. A beautiful story of hope and love.
A Lady betrothed to the wrong man…will she make the right choice?
Lady Georgiana is now betrothed. Her brother, the Earl of Allerton, has chosen a suitable gentleman but when Georgiana meets him, she finds him rude, arrogant, and selfish.
Knowing it would be unwise to cry off, Georgiana tries to build a regard for Lord Poole, only to find her heart stolen by someone entirely unsuitable – Mr. Oliver Lowell, a wealthy financier from Boston. Whilst Mr. Lowell is treated with respect by society, Georgiana knows she cannot let him steal her heart. Yet Lord Poole is even worse than she expected.
Aware that Mr. Lowell will return to America after Christmas, Georgiana cannot bear the thought that she will never see him again. But if she leaves with him, then the scandal will be so great that she can never return to England! And what will her betrothed, Lord Poole, do if he discovers she intends to cry off?
Will Georgiana do what is expected … or follow her heart?
The story has mystery, suspense, danger, and sinister deeds—but in the end, it does have a happily ever after conclusion. Sometimes, happiness is found where you least expect it.
“But I do not regret it; he told himself, firmly. For the rest of my life, I will never regret stealing a Christmas kiss from Lady Georgiana. It was a magical moment, thanks to the mistletoe.” –Mr. Lowell
I just love this author’s books! They are always so well written, with wonderful characters that come alive on the pages! How will this love story work out? Will Georgiana’s choices put her in danger? Grab your copy and find out what happens!

“Mattie’s Heart” is Book One in “The Morgan Family Saga” series.
As a newlywed, Mattie Welch Morgan had specific ideas about what her married life would be like. None of those thoughts included going to Montana with her husband to start a cattle ranch. But after Brady Morgan decides they are going out west to homestead a claim, Mattie has to change her notions about her future.
Then tragedy strikes the Morgan family and Mattie is left struggling with her faith and wondering if her life is all a mistake. What will Mattie choose to do with her heart, and will she ever know true peace and happiness again?
“Mattie’s Heart” takes place in the years spanning 1915-1919, and shares the story of one young couple with a pioneer spirit — their trials, turmoil, and sorrows as they strive to find God’s Will for their lives.
Those who have read the TRUE COVER SERIES by Ruth Kyser will recognize Brady and Mattie Morgan as the great-grandparents of FBI Agent, Samuel Clemens Morgan.
All Ruth Kyser’s books are worth to read. Once you start reading you’ll lose sleep because it is impossible to put the book down.
Awesome author! Her writing style draws you right in and if you have been to the areas she writes about you will recognize them and if not you will see them clearly thru her words. The research she does shows in the realism which as I have said draws you in. I appreciate her Christian based writing very much. You will not want to put the book down.
